India's September Gas Production Drops

India’s gross production of natural gas during September was 2.56bn m3, down 4.3% compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, according to data published October 24 by Indian oil and gas ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC).

In the six months ending September 30, the cumulative gross production of natural gas was 16bn m3, down 1.5% compared with the same period of the previous year.

Natural gas consumption during September was unchanged at 5.21bn m3. During the April-September period, total natural gas consumption was 31.81bn m3 as against 30.94bn m3 in the year-ago period, the data showed.
