India's October LNG Imports Jump 8%

India’s LNG imports increased for the eighth month in a row in October and were 2.69bn m3 (about 2mn metric tons), up 8.1% yr/yr, according to data published October 25 by Indian oil and gas ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell.

In the seven months to October 31, cumulative imports were 19.03bn m³, up 8.4% yr/yr. In the previous Indian financial year that ended March 31, 2019, the country imported 27bn m³ of LNG, up 2.6% compared with the year before, setting a new record.
