India's LNG imports drop 1% in October

India’s LNG imports in October came in at 2.41bn m3 (about 1.78mn metric tons), down 0.8% year/year, the country’s oil and gas ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) website showed on November 17. The imports were up 2.1% month/month, however.

The cumulative imports during the April-October period, the first seven months of the 2022-2023 financial year, were 16.87bn m3, down 11.2% yr/yr. The LNG imports last month cost $1.6bn versus $1.2bn in the same month last year, PPAC said.
