India's LNG imports down 20% in Feb

India’s LNG imports in February came in at 2.81bn m3, down 20.2% year/year, according to the latest data published by the Indian oil and gas ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC). Imports were up 17% month/month, however. 

Between April 2020 and February 2021, imports totalled 29.88bn m3, down 3.3% yr/yr.

LNG imports in February cost some $800mn, down from $900mn in the same month last year. Between April 2020 and February 2021, the import bill was $6.6bn, down from $8.8bn a year earlier, the PPAC data showed.
