India's L&T Wins Sonatrach EPCC Contract

Mumbai-based L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering, a wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, has won an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract from Algerian state Sonatrach.

The contract is to set up three central processing facilities in the Adrar province of Algeria. These three facilities will be at Hassi Ba Hamou and Reg Mouaded field (6mn m3/d capacity); Hassi Tidjerane field (4mn m3/d capacity) and Tinerkouk field (4mn m3/d capacity), L&T said February 12.

L&T did not disclose the financial details of the deal but categorised it as a “mega” contract. According to L&T's definition, a “mega” contract has a value of over rupee 70bn ($1bn).
