India's gas output up 20% in Aug

India’s gas production in August was 2.92bn m3, up 20.2% year/year, the country’s petroleum and natural gas ministry said on September 22. The output was up 1% month/month.

Cumulative natural gas production during the first five months of the fiscal year 2021-22 (April-August) was 13.98bn m3, up 19.94% yr/yr, the ministry said.

State-run ONGC was the biggest producer in the country in August with an output of 1.74bn m3. During the April-August period, ONGC produced 8.53bn m3 of gas.
