India's gas consumption drops in March

India’s natural gas consumption in March was 5.42bn m3, down 0.4% year/year, the government said on April 23.

Cumulative natural gas consumption during the 12 months to March 31 (FY22) was 65.3bn m3, up 6.9% year/year. India’s natural gas production in March was 2.89bn m3, up 7.5% yr/yr.

Cumulative natural gas production in FY22 was 34bn m3, up 18.7% yr/yr. Crisil Ratings told NGW in early April that India’s natural gas output in FY23 is expected to rise by 10-15% yr/yr.
