India's gas consumption down over 2% in Oct

India’s natural gas consumption in October was 5.65bn m3, down 2.4% year/year, the latest data published by the country’s petroleum and natural gas ministry’s Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) showed.

The cumulative consumption of 38.33bn m3 during the seven months of FY2021-2022 was higher by 8.1% compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.

The production of natural gas for the month of October was 3.02bn m3, up 24.7% yr/yr. The cumulative output of natural gas during the April-October period was 19.9bn m3, up 21.6% yr/yr, the PPAC data showed.
