    Indian LNG imports up 5% in November

Indian LNG imports up 5% in November

India's LNG imports exhibited an uptick in November, totalling 2.38bn m3 (approximately 1.78mn tonnes), marking a 5.3% increase compared with the same period the previous year, according to the provisional data published by the country's oil and gas ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) on December 19. 

For the eight months of the current fiscal year, which commenced on April 1, 2023 (FY2024), cumulative LNG imports reached 20.09bn m(15.06mn tonnes), up 12.4% year/year. 

In the fiscal year which concluded on March 31, 2023 (FY2023), India's LNG imports amounted to 26.65bn m3, reflecting a decline of 14.1% in comparison to the preceding year.
