Hong Kong Listed Hans Energy to Build LNG Terminal in Guangdong Province

Hong Kong listed Hans Energy will cooperate with a third party to work in LNG and LPG space in China’s Guangdong province.  

The company on Thursday said it has entered into a letter of intent with an undisclosed independent third party, which is principally engaged in the sale and distribution of energy products.

Hans Energy and the undisclosed third party intend to form a joint venture company to construct and operate LNG terminal at one of the Hans’ terminals in Guangdong province. The LNG terminal will serve as the base for the import of LNG into Guangdong and the onward distribution of LNG in the region, Hans Energy said.

The respective equity interests of Hans Energy and the counterparty in this joint venture are yet to be determined.

The two entities will also construct and operate LNG refill stations in Guangdong province.

Hans Energy is a midstream player in the energy sector, providing terminalling, storage and logistic service for petroleum products, liquid chemicals and gases.
