Green Dragon's March Quarter Gas Output Jumps

Green Dragon Gas’ gas output during the March quarter saw a 34 per cent rise to 414 million cubic feet and the company remains on track to achieve its annualised production rate target.

The China focused coal bed methane producer has set a output target of 18 billion cubic feet of gas compared with the 1.5 bcf produced in 2011.

Company’s entire production came from the Shizhuang South block, where Greka Drilling’s LiFaBriC methodology applied to lined, faulted brittle coals continues to increase production rates.

During 2011, Green Dragon drilled 67 wells had proved reserves of 43 bcf, proved and probable (2P) reserve estimate was 307 bcf and 3P reserves were 2,513 bcf of gas.
