Global Oil and Gas completes hydrogen, helium survey in NT

Sydney-listed Global Oil and Gas on November 29 said that the fieldwork for the helium and hydrogen survey has now been completed in EP-127 in Northern Territory.

The company stated that the initial readings detected levels of helium at double background level. The study will look to correlate the elevated helium levels from field data with the geological model of the Southern Georgina basin and the remote spectroscopy data, it said.

“The study will enable the company to build a hydrogen and helium geological model which can be used to understand the hydrogen and helium generation and trapping mechanisms in the basin. This can then be used to high-grade and plan future exploration activities,” the company added.

Global Oil & Gas headquartered in Subiaco, Western Australia holds a 100% interest in EP-127 located in the Southern Georgina basin.
