GTT Wins New Korean Tank Order

French LNG engineering firm GTT has received an order from the Korean shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for the tank design of two LNG Carriers (LNGCi) on behalf of the Malaysian ship-owner MISC, it said December 5.

Each vessel will offer a capacity of 174,000 m³, a size that fits the expanded Panama Canal and most of the world's export/ import terminals. The tanks will be fitted with the Mark 3 Flex+ membrane containment system. The delivery of the vessels is planned during the first quarter of 2023.

CEO Philippe Berterottiere said the order from a long-standing customers SHI and MISC was "proof of our mutual trust and the performance of our technologies."
