German pipe operator assumes Nord Stream will run at 40% capacity from July 21

The operator of the OPAL pipeline in Germany has said it expects Russia's Nord Stream to resume operations on July 21 after its ten-day routine maintenance run, but only at 40% of its capacity.

OPAL is one of two pipelines in Germany that receives gas from Nord Stream, while the other one is NEL. OPAL Gastransport said Nord Stream would resume flow at 06:00 on July 21.  Nord Stream's capacity was similarly restricted to 40% before its closure for maintenance, with Gazprom blaming Siemens' failure to return a gas turbine on time that had been sent off for repairs, due to sanctions. That turbine is now understood to be on its way back to Russia.
