Gazprom Output down 4.4% in October

Gazprom’s natural gas production slumped 4.4% yr/yr in October to 41.9bn m3, the company said on November 1, marking the fourth consecutive month its output has been lower compared with results in 2018.

Preliminary data published by the firm shows that output fell 0.4% yr/yr in the first ten months of the year, landing at 409.9bn m3.

Gazprom’s exports to Europe have floundered this year as a result of mild weather and rising competition from LNG, dragging down its output. Its shipments to the continent between January 1 and October 15 dropped 2.5% to 152.6bn m3. In October they were down 11% at 16.6bn m3, the company said.
