Gasunie Names New GTS Chief

Dutch state-owned gas infrastructure operator Gasunie has appointed a new head of its main business.

Bart Jan Hoevers has been appointed managing director of the Dutch transmission system operator Gasunie Transport Services (GTS), said Gasunie August 31, succeeding Annie Krist who joined Dutch gas supplier GasTerra as its new CEO during the summer.

Hoevers will also join Gasunie's executive board. His appointment was approved by the Minister of Finance, shareholder of Gasunie, and takes effect from September 1. A graduate economist, Hoevers started his career in 1996 with De Nederlandsche Bank. From 2001 to 2007, he worked for the Ministry of Finance. In 2007 he started working for Gasunie where he held various management positions.
