Gasum to Bunker Equinor Vessels with LNG

Finnish gas supplier Gasum has reached a new deal to bunker vessels belonging to Norway's Equinor with LNG, it said on November 18, noting the deal would expand its bunkering business into the Antwerp, Amsterdam and Rotterdam (ARA) area.

Gasum has been working with Equinor on various projects and developing an LNG supply chain for the latter's vessels since 2011, and has lately been refuelling its oil tankers carrying oil from the North Sea to Swedish and Baltic ports. Bunkering under the new supply agreement will mainly be carried out by Gasum's Coralius and Kairos vessels.

"Equinor is one of the forerunners using LNG in their operations, and they were our first LNG customer in the maritime segment," Gasum LNG maritime sales director Jacob Granqvist said. "This new agreement marks yet another milestone in our co-operation and in Gasum's growth."
