GasLog LNGC Starts Sea Trials

Monaco-based LNG carrier (LNGC) owner GasLog announced on social media channels on September 14 that a new vessel joining its fleet had begun sea trials.

The 174,000-m3 GasLog Georgetown LNGC was built by Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) in South Korea. It features a MK-III Flex Plus containment system supplied by France's GTT that gives a low boil-off rate of 0.07%, combined with a sub-cooler. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in October.

GasLog took delivery of another LNGC carrier from SHI in May, named GasLog Wales. That vessel will serve Japan's Jera under a 12-year charter agreement.
