GasLog in Charter Deal With Cheniere

GasLog Partners said June 19 it has entered into a new multi-year charter agreement with a wholly-owned subsidiary of US LNG producer Cheniere Energy for the GasLog Sydney.

The agreement is scheduled to start in 2018 with options to extend it for up to two consecutive periods at escalating rates.

GasLog Sydney is a 155,000 m3 tri-fuel LNG carrier built in 2013 and now on a multi-year time charter with a wholly owned subsidiary of Anglo-Dutch Shell until September 2018. The vessel is undergoing a scheduled dry-docking during which a reliquefaction module is being installed.

GasLog operates a fleet of 13 LNG carriers with an average capacity of about 156,000 m3.
