GAIL May Set Up LNG Terminal in India's Odisha

Paradip Port Trust (PPT) is likely to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Paradip in eastern Indian state of Odisha.

GAIL is already working on the Surat-Paradip pipeline project, a 1,550-km long pipeline network with the capacity of 60 million standard cubic meters per day (mscmd). The pipeline will link Mora (Gujarat) on the west with Paradip (Odisha).

A team of GAIL had visited Paradip and interacted with port officials while conducting a feasibility study on the project, Orissa Diary reported.
