FX Energy Announces Drilling at Karmin-1 Well in Western Poland

US-based FX Energy announced it started drilling the Karmin-1 well in its Fences license in western Poland

‘The Karmin-1 well is the first of three wells in the Fences area that are planned to begin drilling operations prior to the end of 2014. All of these wells are 51% owned and operated by PGNiG,’ reads a note released on Tuesday

The well is a planned test of a Rotliegend sandstone target at an estimated depth of 2,460 meters.

FX Energy is also moving forward with its plans to drill two wells in its Edge license in western Poland, which the company completely owns.

Earlier this month, the company said it will drill 5 wells in Poland’s Permian Basin by the end of the year.
