French GTT Wins more Flex 111 Membrane Tank Orders
French LNG transport technology firm GTT is to design the membrane tanks for four carriers to be built by Hyundai Heavy Industries and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, it said December 21. Three will be built by HHI, two on behalf of an Asian shipowner and one on behalf of a European shipowner. The fourth will be built by HSHI on behalf of a European shipowner.
They will each offer a capacity of 174,000 m³ and will use GTT's Mark III Flex membrane containment system. Shipments of the vessels are scheduled for the third and fourth quarters of 2024.
The latest orders bring the total that GTT has received this year to 41.
