Finder Energy Gets West Oz Permit

Australian explorer Finder Energy has been awarded a 100% interest in the exploration permit WA-547-P, located within the North West Shelf oil and gas province off Western Australia, it said in a January 8 statement. 

WA-547-P is situated in the Carnarvon basin and is on trend with the Dorado oil discovery. Finder currently holds a royalty interest in the the Dorado field and the surrounding acreage.

Finder said it has identified three material oil prospects in WA-547-P within Lower Triassic layers. These prospects each hold a P50 resource potential in the order of 100mn barrels, as well as a number of other leads within the permit, it added.
