EQT announces tolling agreement with Texas LNG

EQT Corporation has signed a heads of agreement (HOA) for liquefaction services with Texas LNG's facility located in Brownsville, Texas, it said on January 11.

Under this agreement, EQT aims to produce 0.5mn tonnes/year of LNG over a 15-year tolling agreement. The final terms of the agreement are pending negotiation of a definitive contract between the parties.

Texas LNG, a subsidiary of Glenfarne Energy Transition, is expected to make a final investment decision on the project in 2024, with the initial cargo deliveries anticipated to commence in 2028.

Texas LNG, the proposed 4mn tonnes/year LNG export project, has collaborated with global technology leader ABB to provide the project's core automation and electrical equipment.
