Eni Studies Bahrain's Upstream

Bahraini authorities have invited Eni to study and assess the potential of some exploration and production assets and the Italian company has signed four agreements with the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) and Tatweer Petroleum. Eni’s CEO Claudio Descalzi was visiting the country, Eni said November 6.
 
Eni will have access to the data to study the offshore and onshore oil and gas fields' potential.

Eni said in its statement that "at the end of the studies, Bahrain Authorities and Eni will evaluate together the possibility of future initiatives with the view to co-operate for further developments of the country's energy resources."
