Eni, Sabic ink Gas Technology Deal

Italian Eni and Saudi petrochemicals firm Sabic will jointly develop a technology for turning gas into synthesis gas to produce high value fuels and chemicals such as methanol, Eni said February 8. It will be based on their existing proprietory know-how in the sector and will help to lower emissions.

The joint development agreement includes building an industrial demonstration plant on Eni's industrial premises.
