Eni Completes Belgian Deal

Eni said it completed July 10 the sale, initially announced March 31, of its Belgian gas & power retail, and wind power, businesses to Dutch firm Eneco. 

The business serves 850,000 electricity and gas connection points, representing a Belgian retail market share of 10%, employs some 200 staff.

Neither has disclosed the purchase price. Eni will remain active as a trader and wholesaler in Belgium.

Eni said the deal was completed "following the approval by the regulatory authority" (its Italian release cited authorities) but did not say which one/s.
