Engie Appoints New Head of LNG

The LNG subsidiary of French Engie has appointed Sandra Roche-Vu Quang as CEO with effect from June 1, Elengy said May 27.

She succeeds Laurence Borie-Bancel, who has been appointed to other positions within Engie. Elengy is subsidiary of GRTgaz and managed by Engie board member Didier Holleaux.

Roche-Vu Quang is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Nantes with a specialisation in offshore design and naval architecture and before joining the group she held various managerial positions in the oil and gas sector for the  multinational engineering, procurement and construction companies Technip, Sofregaz of France and Italian Saipem.

Roche-Vu Quang joined Engie's predecessor company GDF Suez in 2006 and has worked for two years defining and promoting Engie's medium and long-term green gas strategies. She is a member of Storengy's strategic committee and a member of the board of directors of Storengy Germany.
