Energy World Corporation Expects Indonesian LNG Project to Start Up This Year

Energy World Corporation Ltd. (EWC) expects Sengkang LNG project in Indonesia to start operating later this year, company said in its half yearly financial statement.

"We anticipate that we will complete the construction of the first train and associated works and undertake commissioning and commence operations within 2015," EWC said.

The project consists of one modular LNG train with a capacity of 0.5 MTPA. EWC plans is to add three additional trains and increase the capacity to 2 MTPA, an LNG storage facility, and an LNG loading facility.

According to company website existing proved reserves are sufficient to produce 1 MTPA of LNG for more than 5 years. MOU has been signed with Indonesia Power to supply up to 1.5 MTPA initially and may increase to up to 5 MTPA.
