Elengy Gives More Time for LNG Capacity Bids

French LNG terminal operator Elengy has given suppliers more time to subscribe for capacity at its Montoir-de-Bretagne terminal, according to a company statement on September 11.

Elengy invited subscriptions in July for 3.5bn m3/yr of firm and existing capacity between October 2021 and December 2035 at the terminal in western France. Bidders were initially given until September 13 to register in the tender and between September 30 and October 11 to subscribe for capacity. Citing “a tremendous level of interest from the market,” it has now delayed the deadline for registration for October 11, and the deadline for binding applications to November 5.

Montoir-de-Bretagne is one of three LNG termials operated by Elengy. The other two are Fos Tonkin and Fos Cavaou, situated on the Mediterranean coast.
