Egypt to Beef Up Security of Gas Pipeline to Jordan
Egypt is looking to beef up protection of a natural gas pipeline delivering gas to Jordan, country’s President Mohamed Morsi said on Wednesday.
The comments have come days after the pipeline delivering gas to Jordan and Israel was attacked and blown up by militants in the Sinai Peninsula.
The latest attack was the 15th one in more than a year and has again put Jordan’s energy needs in jeopardy.
Jordan also asked Egypt to increase the amount of gas it pumps to the country.
