Dunkerque LNG Offers Oct-Nov Capacity

The Dunkerque LNG import terminal in northern France is offering up regasification capacity in October and November. It has invited companies to contact it for more information on these spot sales, it said on September 23.

The terminal, owned by Belgium's Fluxys, is offering two time slots in October: one between October 11 and 14 and another between October 27 and 29.  A further two are available in November: one between November 7 and 9 and another between November 24 and 26. The maximum send-out rate for all slots is 100 GWh/day. Capacity will be provided on a first come, first served basis.

The Dunkerque LNG terminal can bring ashore up to 13bn m3/yr of gas, but 9.5bn m3 of this capacity is booked long-term by France's EDF and Total. It has three 200,000-m3 LNG storage tanks – some of the biggest in Europe – and it has hosted many ship-to-ship LNG transfers. Fluxys became its sole owner in 2018 after acquiring EDF and Total's shares.
