DTEK ramps up gas flow by 11% in 9M-2021

Ukraine-focused DTEK Oil & Gas increased gas production by 11% in the first nine months of the year to 1.5bn m3, the company said on October 12.

DTEK attributed the growth to drilling and workovers at its fields in the Poltava region. On September 12 it brought on stream a new well at the Machukhske field, with a depth of 5,360 m, which is flowing 300,000 m3/day. It has drilled four wells so far this year.

"Due to systemic introduction of technologies, DTEK Oil & Gas demonstrates a record-setting drilling speed and continuously high production performance for gas," CEO Igor Shchurov commented.

'We expect DTEK Oil & Gas to produce at least 1.95-2.00bn m3 of natural gas in 2021, or 6-9% more year on year," Dmytro Khoroshun, analyst at Kyiv-based Concorde Capital, commented.
