Drillsearch, Beach Energy Spud Cooper Basin Well

Drillsearch Energy and Beach Energy have announced that Haslam-1 wet gas exploration well in the Cooper Basin Western Flank has spudded.

The well has estimated mean recoverable resources of 8.39 billion cubic feet of gas equivalent. The Haslam-1 wet gas exploration well is located approximately 4.6km south, south-west of the Middleton-1 wet gas field and its primary target are structural-stratigraphic traps in the Patchawarra Formation in close proximity to existing PEL 106B wet gas discoveries. The Toolachee Formation and Tirrawarra Sandstone are considered secondary targets for wet gas.

Drillsearch and Beach each hold 50% of PEL 106B with the latter acting as operator.
