Citing data from Korea’s industry ministry, Dongwha said that the Korean shipbuilding industry has achieved the best results in eight years by winning 17.44mn CGT worth of orders in 2021.

The company said that the demand for eco-friendly ships is increasing because of the International Maritime Organisation regulations on greenhouse gas emissions in the maritime sector.
