Dana Gas Output Rises in Q1

Middle East-focused Dana Gas said April 10 that average production during the three months to March 31 (1Q2019) increased 6% year-on-year thanks to a jump in output in Kurdistan.

Output rose from to 68,700 barrels of oil equivalent/day from 65,000 boe/d in 1Q2018, it said. In a quarter-on-quarter comparison, production grew by 5% in the first quarter.

The production increase was led by the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), where output leapt to 32,750 boe/d from 26,300 boe/d in the same period of 2018. This increase was mainly due to additional production from a de-bottlenecking project that came on-stream in October 2018, Dana said.
