Cuadrilla Submits Planning Application for Roseacre Wood

UK’s Cuadrilla Resources confirmed it submitted a planning application to Lancashire County Council (LCC) for its proposed Roseacre Wood shale gas exploration site, following a similar move for the Preston New Road site.

‘The proposal covers the works required to drill, hydraulically fracture and test the flow of gas from up to four exploration wells on the site,’ reads the note

According to the company, the Environmental Statement and the application will be available to the public after the council’s validation, which the company expects to be within two weeks.

‘Following this LCC will launch a formal consultation process in order to allow the public to comment. We anticipate that the application to LCC will be decided within a 16 week determination period which will start on the validation date.’
