China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) and Cnooc have signed an agreement with Guangdong Province to undertake an LNG conversion project for inland waterway vessels, CSSC said on May 29 in a statement.
As per the agreement, by 2025, Guangdong Province will complete the LNG conversion of about 1,500 vessels and build 19 LNG bunkering stations. Guangdong Province will run the initiative, which will be implemented by CSSC and Cnooc.
