Craig International secures contract with QatarEnergy LNG

Oilfield procurement specialist Craig International has won a contract with QatarEnergy LNG, formerly Qatargas, to source and supply products and services related to maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), it said on April 4.

The three-year contract, with a two-year extension option, will be executed by Craig International's Qatar office and supported by headquarters in Aberdeen.

“We are thrilled to extend our contract with such a major brand in the region and we are looking forward to building and nurturing a mutually beneficial relationship with QatarEnergy LNG," Craig International’s director of Middle East operations, Steve Gibson, said.

In February this year, Qatar unveiled the North Field West LNG Expansion project, with the goal of increasing Qatar's LNG production capacity to 142mn tonnes/year by the end of the decade, representing an 85% increase from current levels.

Qatar's active expansion of LNG production capacity includes ongoing projects such as the North Field Expansion, encompassing North Field South and North Field East expansion projects, scheduled to commence production in 2026. This project alone is expected to contribute over 48mn tonnes/year to global LNG supplies, boosting Qatar's overall LNG production capacity to 126mn tonnes/year.
