Condor starts gas production enhancement ops in Uzbekistan

Condor Energies, a Canadian energy transition company, has officially launched production enhancement operations for an integrated cluster comprising eight conventional natural gas-condensate fields in Uzbekistan, it said on March 4.

The company assumes full financial responsibility for the project. In exchange, Condor is poised to receive a percentage of the net revenue generated. Production from the project will be supplied to the domestic market through sales arrangements with the authorised state entities.

Condor plans to boost gas production by implementing strategies such as artificial lifts, workover programmes, and infill drilling. A 3-D seismic reprocessing is also planned for this year to support these efforts.

The company said it is collecting additional reservoir and production data in the near term and a National Instrument 51-101 compliant reserves report will be completed thereafter.

Condor signed an initial agreement regarding the eight fields with the Uzbekistan government in May last year.
