CNPC's Shale Gas Production in Sichuan Jumps
State-run CNPC produced 8.03bn m3 of shale gas in Sichuan province in 2019, up 88% year on year, the company said January 9 in a statement.
During the year, 456 new wells were drilled and 229 were put into production, CNPC said. PetroChina, the listed unit of CNPC, operates Changning-Weiyuan and Zhaotong shale gas projects in the Sichuan basin.
