CNPC Receives Cameroon FLNG Cargo

CNPC’s Rudong LNG terminal June 14 received its first LNG cargo from West Africa's first floating LNG project, Hilli Episeyo, located offshore Cameroon.

The cargo was delivered onboard the LNG carrier Galicia Spirit, Chinese state-owned CNPC said June 21.

Cameroon’s first LNG export cargo departed May 17 following that venture's start of production March 12. Golar LNG owns the Hilli Episeyo liquefaction vessel used by the Cameroon FLNG venture while Gazprom Marketing & Trading is the lifter of all Cameroon FLNG cargoes, following a 15 year offtake agreement for the venture's 1.2mn metric ton/yr output signed in 2015. 

Rudong LNG terminal in located in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu and has a capacity of 6.5mn mt/yr. The terminal received its first cargo in 2011.
