CNPC's Output Hits Record in 2020

State-run CNPC's domestic oil and gas production in 2020 hit a record of 200mn metric tons of oil equivalent, it said on January 4 in a statement.

The company's natural gas output was a little over half that, up from 88.4mn metric tons of oil equivalent in 2019. Gas production exceeded domestic crude oil output for the first time ever, CNPC said. The company's oil and gas output account for 50% and 70% of the country's total production, respectively.
