CNPC's Keshen Output up 10% in 2020

The CNPC-operated Keshen gas field in China produced 10bn m3 of gas last year, up 10% year/year, the operator said on February 2.

The Keshen gas field in the Tarim basin in Xinjiang region is a fractured tight sandstone gas reservoir with ultra-depth and ultra-high pressure. At present, 76 wells in the field are producing at full capacity and supplying customers downstream, CNPC said.  The state-owned company said 12 production wells will be completed and put into operation in the gas field in near future.
