CNPC ramps up gas output at Daqing Oilfield

State-owned CNPC’s Daqing Oilfield produced over 2.9bn m3 of natural gas in the first half of this year, up 16.3% over the same period last year, Xinhua news agency reported on July 19.

During the period, the oilfield sold more than 2bn m3 of natural gas, up 28% year/year. The Daqing oil field is located between the Songhua river and Nen river in Heilongjiang province in northeastern China.

Last year, the field's oil and gas output reached 43.22mn metric tons of oil equivalent, Xinhua said.
