CNPC ramps up CBM output in Shanxi
Huabei Oilfield Company has produced over 5.5mn m3/day of coalbed methane (CBM) at Qinshui CBM field in Huabei Oilfield in Shanxi province, its parent company CNPC said on June 27 without giving a year/year comparison.
Chinese state-run CNPC added that Qinshui has become the first CBM field with a surface extraction capacity of more than 2bn m3/year. CBM from Huabei Oilfield is mainly sold to Shanxi, Henan and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regions.
