Cnooc's Zhuhai Terminal Sets Record
Cnooc Gas and Power’s Zhuhai LNG terminal loaded 223 LNG tanker trucks in a single day in July, highest single day figure since the terminal became operational, the company announced August 2 without saying on which date the record was set.
Late last month, Cnooc Gas and Power said the terminal supplied 20mn m3 of regasified LNG to customers downstream on July 19, highest ever single day transmission since the terminal came online in October 2013.
The terminal, located in China’s Guangdong province, has a capacity of 3.5mn mt/yr and supplies gas to cities of Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Foshan, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Macao and Jiangmen. Cnooc Gas and Power, a unit of state-owned Cnooc, said the terminal unloaded 300,000 metric tons of LNG in July.
Cnooc Gas and Power operates nine LNG import terminals at Tianjin, Shanghai, Ningbo, Putian, Yuedong, Dapeng, Zhuhai, Hainan and Shenzhen. The company has started work on its 10th terminal.
