Cnooc's Zhuhai terminal fills record trucks with LNG

Cnooc Gas and Power's Zhuhai LNG terminal filled a record 400 LNG tanker trucks in a single day on May 19, it said on the same day. The terminal also transported a record 8,000 metric tons of LNG via trucks on that day.

The company said the flow rate has been increased from 450 kg/minute to 500 kg which has improved filling efficiency. Since its commissioning in November 2013, the Zhuhai LNG tanker truck filling station has filled more than 330,000 LNG vehicles and supplied more than 6mn metric tons of fuel to downstream customers via these trucks. The terminal supplies gas to cities of Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Foshan, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Macao and Jiangmen.

Work is expected to start in June and the second phase is likely to come online in December 2023, Cnooc Gas and Power said. The terminal, located in Guangdong province, at present has three storage tanks, each with a capacity of 160,000 m3
