Cnooc's Zhejiang Terminal Passes Milestone

Cnooc Gas and Power’s Zhejiang LNG import terminal on December 28 received 300th LNG vessel, the company said December 30 in a statement.

Cnooc Gas and Power, a unit of Chinese state-owned Cnooc, said that the terminal has received a total of 20.7mn metric tons of LNG since it became operational in 2012. Zhejiang LNG terminal, located near the city of Ningbo in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang, was commissioned in 2012 with LNG imported from Qatar.

Cnooc Gas and Power, a unit of state-run Cnooc, has 51% stake in the terminal while other shareholders are Zhejiang Energy Company (29%) and Ningbo Power (20%). The company operates nine LNG import terminals at Tianjin, Shanghai, Ningbo, Putian, Yuedong, Dapeng, Zhuhai, Hainan and Shenzhen - most of which are part-owned by others.
