Cnooc's Yuedong Terminal Receives First Moss-Type Carrier

Cnooc Gas and Power's Yuedong LNG terminal in Guangdong province received August 13 the first Moss-type LNG carrier, the company said August 15.  

The vessel Seri Cenderawasih, owned by Malaysia’s Petronas, arrived with a cargo of 66,037 metric tons that was unloaded in less than 22 hours, the company said. Last month, Cnooc Gas and Power said Yuedong LNG import terminal in Guangdong province has unloaded more than 1 million metric tons of LNG since the start of operations in April 2017. Located in Jieyang, in eastern Guangdong, the terminal has a capacity of 2mn mt/yr.

Cnooc Gas and Power, a unit of state-owned Cnooc, operates nine LNG import terminals at Tianjin, Shanghai, Ningbo, Putian, Yuedong, Dapeng, Zhuhai, Hainan and Shenzhen.
